Polyester clothes...
by Glander ini recently found my class photo of the elders school i attended in 1977. sam friend was the new york emisssary who conducted it.
my guess is that in the 70's, 90% of all the dress clothing worn to the meetings, male or female, was made of polyester.. i myself had ties, dress shirts, sport coats, slacks and suits of the stuff.
yes, even a leisure suit in a coral color with contrasting white stitching.. if there had been a fire the entire congregation would be melted in a huge gob of plastic.

free telephone and $10 internet= if you qualify in USA
by moshe inyes, i discovered this program thanks to an obama supporter in cleveland.
if you are low income or receive a government program like food stamps, then you can get a free cell phone with 250 minutes and maybe even a $10/mo broadband internet connection.
with the economy being so bad, there is no reason to give up a phone and internet, which you need to find a job and get back to work-.

I cannot think of a liberal or moderate AM radio talk show, let alone a host that gets the ratings of these "conservative" ranters.
I was getting ready to mention the same. I don't really listen to the radio anymore, but when I did it seemed to me that the conservative and right wing types were plentiful. Can't say the left was represented as well on the radio, although that saturation is reversed when it comes to television. I remember working in Tool/Die shops and there was always plenty of right wing coworkers on hand. They'd all have their individual radios at the machines they manned, but all would be listening to the same talking points from the handful of programs available on AM radio.
I often wondered back then whether Rush Limbaugh had a legal case against the other programs on AM RAdio ,along the lines of copyright or infringement violations because there's no limit to the amount of imitators who hijacked his format. Some were extreme with names like The Morning Militia, while others were more toned down like a Tony Perkins per say. This was during the Clinton years and the paranoia about him and Vince Foster, Bilderberg, etc. made for good entertainment. To this day I question how much these commentators really believe the vitriol they spew on the airwaves as much as they're simply playing a character that the closet racists, and paranoid anti-goverment types eat right up. They can't get enough of it.

You sure you really want to do that? There's a word that begins with a "R" and rhymes with discussions.

Lol, the "lifeline program" was established in the 1990's, well before BO could be blamed; the "Kim Komando Show" is an AM radio tech program which appears on many of the same stations which carry many of the political infotainment shows (eg Savage (who's real last name is Weiner) / Levin / Rush / Hannity) which low-intellect listeners confuse with performing civic duty. Those low-income Red-State moochers should stop listening to AM radio entertainment and find a job.
Oh, that article appeared in USA Today, which you also should quit reading, as it's pablum (like Fox).
Quit confusing the racists

These students noted that their religious beliefs prevented them from interacting with other students who were engaged in partying, substance abuse, womanizing, and other actions that would be considered inappropriate for Jehovah's Witnesses.
I believe that's a good result of a JW upbringing. One of the beefs I have with this however, is that there's plenty of young college students who were not raised as JWs and don't get involved with the ilk listed above. I'd imagine and venture to say that the majority of college students don't get involved with what's listed above, at least not as much as we'd like to think they do.
Another thing as FinallyAwake alluded to, the restrictions on associations for born-in JWs includes anyone that's not a JW. It's not limited to drug abusers, womanizers, etc.. Many born-ins only have the options to either hang out with other JWs, or spend time alone.

Don't get baptized as a JW, whatever you do son, don't get baptized!!
Too late, already baptized? Don't reach out for anything!! The head honchos in Walkhill don't give a rat's tail about you. Don't reach out for anything!! Shit on them just like they shit on you! Like they did your father, like they did all the other older brothers duped into this scam of a religion!!! Tell them you're already too busy, or your depressed!
You likely will get old and die in this system of things, make no mistake about it. Plan for your future kid and don't brush off teachers encouraging you to attend college.
Ask that nonJW woman that's been giving you signals out before somebody else scoops her and you're stuck looking at a bunch of bipolar pioneers who're expecting you to support their goal of being a stay-at-home pioneer.
